The Banksy hosted Cans festival finished a few days ago. It is probably the biggest stencil show to date.

Murakami is showing at the Brooklyn Museum. His cultural impact is huge- and facinating- with work from Louis Vuitton to the album cover of Kanye West's latest cd (he also performed at the opening in Brooklyn).
He is truly a superstar in the art world, creating product and graphic design, prints, sculpture, and paintings. His work really mirrors what pop art today and tomorrow looks like- with an eastern twist that out western culture is eating up like candy.
