TOMS

I just got a pair of these babies- well mine are white- but whatever. I LOVE them, they are so comfy, and with every purchase they give another pair to kids in an impoverished country!

Summer Fashion

I got these images from Elle online's Street Chic section. Here's a few I liked:

^This is adorable- I love LOVE the long sleeve button-down paired with shorts look- and of course I love the booties.

I'm totally digging cut-offs this summer- these seem a bit big however, for the length. I'd either go a little shorter so they don;t bunch, or tighter.

The pictures a little small- but I love her metal framed vintage way-farers paired with this comfy, flowy dress and huge bag.

Haha, i think she might have stolen this from my closet- comfortable summer perfection.

Love the denim baby-doll dress paired with the tan bag. I also love the short hair- it's everywhere this summer! I swore I'd never cut my hair short again otherwise I'd totally be rocking it- very Edie Sedgwick

She is totally doing the high-wasted shorts thing just right. Plus, I love the purple-navy color combo.

Both cute- but I'm feeling the girl on the right a bit more, the blocks of color feel modern and a little less contrived.

Clothes, shoes, accessories- cute, summer, perfection.

These American Apparel skirts are everywhere- high-wasted, tucked in= Fresh. I also love the plaid- I'm sure there's going to be a lot more of this this fall.

I love this to death- I just wish it were shorter, and belted.

BLU

When I was in London BLU was doing a several-story mural on the side of the Tate- clearly he is one artist that the fine art world embraces. Here is a video where he combines animation and graffiti... I might have posted one of his before,I forget.

Wall-E

Seriously one of the best movies I've seen in a while, with a beautiful message... AND robots!!!!

The Future?

With technology evolving so rapidly around us it's not hard to wonder what will become of the surprisingly near future of music and art. The constant flow of media that has rapidly incorporated itself into every aspect of our lives allows for such rapid evolution that it is easy to be lost, and more so, overwhelmed. Still, I feel that the search for understanding and the acceptance of the oddities you find along the way is the only way to seek for your self and understanding how to create something new- even if that something new is completely different than anything done before.

Ignore the crappy homemade videos, Crystal Castles is certainly a new understanding of music in a somehow retro kind of way.

And then I'm just gonna throw in some DJ Shadow in there because hes amazing.
"Midnight in a Perfect World" is my fave:
